Why I Started My Memphis Mailbox

I moved from Chicago to Memphis in 2021 with my wife and kids, and started an online boutique. Like a lot of new business owners, I needed a professional address for my store — somewhere customers could reference that wasn't my home address. Researching my options, I discovered virtual mailboxes, something I didn't even know existed. But the nearest location for the service I wanted was over 200 miles away. That's when it clicked: there was a real, unmet need right here in Memphis — one I could build and have a direct impact on immediately. That felt right. So I created the local service I'd been looking for myself, and I run it the way I'd have wanted as a customer: personally, reliably, and with care for everyone who walks through the door.

That personal approach is the whole point. My Memphis Mailbox is a licensed CMRA (Commercial Mail Receiving Agency) at 2298 Young Ave in Cooper-Young — a real storefront where a real person answers the phone and your mail is handled by someone who knows your name.
